STORE FIXTURES

Space Design

Tender Gourmet Butchery is located in a high-end commercial complex or boutique supermarket. Its design is proactively symbiotic with the surrounding environment, using high-end materials that are consistent with the mall, making the store a boutique unit of commercial space rather than an abrupt presence.

The core of Tender Gourmet Butchery‘s design is to dispel the traditional ruggedness of the butcher shop and endow it with the dual qualities of fine dining and high-end retail. It no longer sells meat as a single purpose but conveys the delicacy of the meat process and the ritual sense of ingredient selection. The idea is that it takes the industrial genes of the slaughtering process as a clue and echoes the mechanical properties of meat processing with metal frames and mirrored devices. Tactile temperature, through the natural texture of wood and the cold metal, creates a trustworthy texture of food materials. It transforms the meat display from a shelving display to an artistic one, giving customers an immersive experience of exploring high-end ingredients while shopping.

Store layout

The layout of the whole store not only satisfies the efficient circulation of meat retail but also strengthens the customers’ desire to explore. In the core display area of the front court, the central glass refrigerated cabinet adopts an open island design, where various types of meat are displayed in layers. The light system of the refrigerator is warm purple, which not only highlights the freshness of the meat but also avoids the cold feeling of the traditional cold light so that the texture and color of the meat become the visual focus. The embedded display window on the left adopts a window-like design, similar to the display logic of high-end clothing stores, and presents the high-quality meat as an exhibit to strengthen the cognition of high-end food.

The service desk and cashier area of the midfield are located in the middle and back sections of the space, and there are wooden background walls and metal cashier equipment. Trophies and certificates also displayed on the background wall convey the brand’s professional qualifications silently, enhancing customer trust. The metal arch structure in the space is not purely decorative. The mirror material on the surface and the meat display inside form a reflection to enhance the spatial transparency. The backyard should contain a meat processing area and a storage area. Through the display and interaction design of the front yard, the functional area of processing is hidden from the visual focus, which ensures the cleanliness of the space and meets the efficiency needs of business operations.

Material Selection

The shop makes extensive use of vertical grain wood panels in a warm light brown color. The natural texture of the wood conveys natural, trustworthy attributes of the food while softening the coldness of the metal and glass, making the space more intimate. The ferrous frame, mirrored stainless steel, metal cash register equipment, etc., constitute the industrial skeleton of the space. The coldness of the metal echoes the mechanicality of the slaughter process, reinforcing the brand’s focus on precision in meat handling, while the ferrous frame delineates clear functional boundaries for the space.

The transparent glass of the cold cabinet and the glass material of the display window bear the dual functions of display and preservation. The transparency of the glass allows the customer to observe the details of the meat at 360 degrees, meeting the demand for transparency of food ingredients in high-end consumption.

Built-in downlights at the top provide basic lighting to keep the space bright, while warm purple accents illuminate freezers and display windows to highlight meats. Spotlights on the back wall focus on brand symbols such as trophies and certificates, strengthening the image of the profession. This lighting logic makes the space prioritized, and the customer’s visual focus naturally falls on the meat and the brand value. The circular logo of Gourmet Tender Butchery uses a retro font with the year of Est. 2000 to convey the brand’s sense of history and professionalism. The logo’s black and white color and the metal and wood color conflict strengthen the brand memory.
